Dear friends,

As I come take up the role of Superintendent Minister of the Peak MethodistCircuit, I want to thank those who have held and supported the Circuit in recenttimes. Thank you!

I look forward to working with you, supporting you, listening to you, learning fromyou and hopefully offering something to you as well.

People and places are very important to me. It is a privilege to be able to share inpeople's stories – joining in their journey, supporting them in times of joy andsorrow. I also enjoy the history, space and memory of places – whether that bechurch, or chapel; marketplace, or village hall; hill, vale, moor, mountain, or theback garden! Places hold special connections for us.

As we journey over the next few years, I hope and pray that we will listen, learnand laugh; and that we can pick up on the President and Vice President's themeof Our Story, Our Song: Learning to Love Again

I want to end by encouraging us to pull together, move forward in faith andcommit ourselves to supporting, encouraging and working with one another forthe sake of the Gospel of Christ. This is summed up for me in the words of a verseof one of Wesley's hymns, All praise to our redeeming Lord:

He bids us build each other up;and gathered into one,to our high calling's glorious hope,we hand in hand go on.

So it is good to be here among you, and I trust that our journey over the next fewyears with people and places will prove to be a fruitful and hope-filled time for allof us. May we know the love of God, the friendship of Christ and the equippingof the Spirit.

Your minister and friend,

Tim Morris (Rev)
