Julie arrived in the Peak Circuit in 2019 having spent the previous and first 10 years of her ministry in North Somerset. On arrival here, her responsibilities lay within the Hope Valley area of the Circuit. From 2023, as the sole Presbyter employed by the Circuit, Julie took over the position of Superintendent Minister, successfully guiding the Circuit in re-structuring its processes of management. Recently she has helped develop and introduce a pilgrimage route, The Peak Wesley Way as well as help promote Healing on the Streets in Bakewell. In July 2025, Julie officially 'sat down' to become a supernumerary minister in the Circuit.
Julie has a heart for mission and seeing the Church grow in the sense that it is relevant to all people, enabling them to be as best they can in body, mind and soul.
Married to Malcolm, Julie immerses herself in rural life which she has, from a young age, found to be a place where she can be the best she can be in body, mind and soul. As a sports person, she now enjoys watching most sports rather than play and, together with Malcolm, loves to get out walking and cycling in the beautiful Peak District. She also likes to talk – a lot!
