I'm a Supernumerary in the Peak Circuit where I arrived back 5 years ago with my husband Graham, having "sat down" from serving God in the Cornwall District. I feel very much at home here as I was a student at Cliff College in 1984 and later served on the Colleges committee. I came to serve God in the Sheffield District in 1991 on the rural edge of the Barnsley Circuit amongst the Pit villages, as the mining industry was being closed down. I returned again to the District in 2008, to the Peak Circuit, enjoying serving seven churches.

My ministry has always been pastoral and mission focussed, both through the churches and through Chaplaincies. I've been very blessed to have been given opportunity to be in prison chaplaincy, an RAF chaplain at Leeming, a life boat chaplain at Lizard point and twice as a hospital chaplain.

Wherever God has led me I have involved areas of creativity in my ministry which brings me such joy! At present I am involved with our Circuit planning a Travelling Harvest where we are visiting all our churches and communities, sharing the message of Thanksgiving and Giving and collecting food for the Peak Foodbank. I'm happy too, at the moment, preparing a Christmas event – 'Journey to Bethlehem' creating a display of many Nativities as a missional project in Bakewell.

I haven't got used to being a Supernumerary yet, and am still asking God to lead me to what he specifically wants me to do. My spare time sees me researching my Family Tree, travelling and being a Gran!
