3Generate 2026

Friday 2 Oct to Sunday 4 Oct

3Generate is the Methodist Church in Britain's annual youth assembly, taking place every October at the NEC in Birmingham. Children and young people from ages 8-18 from across the Connexion come together for a weekend jam-packed with faith, fun and worship. Find out more here: 3Gen

Once again a group is going from the Peak Circuit.  If you know any young people that would like to join us please contact Karen, Children & Families Enabler: cf@pekmethodistcircuit.org; 07459092524

If you are interested in volunteering at the event you can find out more here: Volunteer at 3Gen

This year at 3Generate we’re exploring the theme On The Way - a celebration of the lifelong, ever€'unfolding journey of faith. Building on previous years’ focus on tuning into God and travelling the “Journey of a Lifetime,” On The Wayinvites every child and young person, whatever their starting point, to take a meaningful next step with God. The theme encourages simple, everyday practices that help us encounter God, reflect together and grow in community. Rooted in John 14:6, the programme explores Jesus as the Way, the Truth and the Life—with opportunities to encounter these ideas in worship, conversation, creativity, movement and reflection.

Hathersage Messy Church is back on 31st May

We had a great time at April's Messy Church session, learning about how the church is like a body with lots of different parts – all different, and all important. The next Messy Church is on Sunday 31 May, 4-6pm at Hathersage Methodist Church Hall where we will be thinking about 'salt and light'. All welcome to join for a fun time of learning together through activities, games, storytelling and chatting over a shared picnic.

The Book Room at Hathersage Methodist Church

Interview on National Radio
Hathersage Methodist Church's second-hand bookshop was featured on UCB radio at the end of May, with an interview between presenter James Morris and Dave Fisher, Lead Volunteer for the Open Church initiative.

The Arthur Rank Rural Roadshow

9 June 2026 / 10am – 2pm Peak Methodist Church – Bakewell DE45 1EL
As part of The Arthur Rank Centre’s ongoing mission to support, train, resource, and nurture connections with all Christian leaders we are hosting our first “Rural Mission and Ministry Roadshow” in Bakewell on 9th June 2026 (10am-2pm).
As a valued member of the rural Christian community we invite you (and any of your team) to join us for an uplifting day celebrating all that is rural, as we reflect on these current times when rural life is changing fast and the church is being called to respond with imagination, hope and confidence.
We will open our time together with joint worship, followed by relevant and insightful presentations.
There will be a break for light lunchtime refreshments and time for encouraging each other in Mission and Ministry.
Each participant will receive a pack of useful resources including the practical guide ‘How Village Churches Thrive’.
Please do let us know if we can secure space for you and any of your team.
Although there is no charge to attend, we need to secure delegate numbers for catering purposes. Please email Trisha Pickvance (Trisha.Pickvance@arthurrankcentre.org.uk) if you would like to attend.
